SMI specializes in industrial, refinery and power station boiler work,
including boiler erection, condensers, HRSG and pressure vessel installation and repair. SMI is certified to perform
both shop and field ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code work and Pressure Piping Fabrication and installation.
SMI
is certified by the National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors to perform Repairs and Alterations to ASME Code
Boilers & Pressure Vessels. We are fully authorized to evaluate needed repairs and alterations and prepare specific
procedures according to the regulatory Agencies and Codes.

Piping
Shelby Mechanical Inc. has established a quality assurance
and control program in accordance with Section I of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ANSI B31.1, governing
the installation of power piping for fossil fuel-fired steam generating systems. We are qualified within the scope of the
ASME power piping (PP) (S) code stamp and are also members of the National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau. We have
the welding procedures, quality control standards and the experience personnel to construct virtually all types
of National Board & ASME Code.
